Name's Catherine, or Cat for short. L.A. born and raised. This is a virtual receptacle for me to spew images, verbages and other select garbages. Musings for your perusement that will (in all likelihood) be forever arrested in the development stage. A case of infinite gestation, if you will.

Yeah, I think I got a mixed anger gene from my parents. My dad is very quiet about his anger and my mom is absolutely nuts.
Result: I could be mad for a long time and be very secretive— almost blase— about it. And then one day, someone can say something very innocent, and I’ll just be crazy enraged for days on end. It’s insane.
I don’t know if that’s biologically justifiable. But just a word of caution. :D
German researchers asked 800 people to fill out a survey on how they deal with anger, and then gave them each DNA tests. It was discovered that those who fly into rage almost always have a different version of a specific dopamine-regulating gene than those who can remain calm.
The same study also found that the demonstrably angry have less gray matter in the part of the brain linked with keeping emotions in check.
This is good to know, because “It’s not my fault; I was born this way” has a great ring to it when you’re yelling uncontrollably.(source)
